Geelong captain Joel Selwood has been cleared of a fracture in his right hand and is a certainty to line up against the Swans on Saturday night.

The Geelong skipper had a severely swollen hand during Friday night’s win over Collingwood at the MCG, despite collecting 26 possessions and scoring one goal.

However, Selwood told CatsTV that he has escaped serious injury and is in no doubt that he will take in place in the side come Saturday.

“I’ve got the scans back and all has come up well,” Selwood said.

“There’s no fracture in there, and I’ve just got to work away at getting it better now.

“[I’ll] work away with the medical staff and just get the swelling out of it, but I’ll be fine to go this Saturday night.”
