Scans confirm Sydney star Kurt Tippett out for up to six weeks

Sydney’s Kurt Tippett will miss up to six weeks, after scans confirmed on Monday the ruckman suffered a tear in one of his hamstring tendons that join his knee.

Youngster Harry Marsh has also been ruled out of Round 13 after suffering a hamstring strain in the Swans’ loss to the Giants on Sunday.

However, the news is better for Gary Rohan, who is expected to play next week after he was cleared of any hamstring damage following bleeding near his hamstring from multiple corks during the match.

Sydney play Melbourne at the MCG next Sunday.
