The AFL have confirmed the next block of fixtures for the 2022 season, with Round 16-19 now locked in.
The update will see Thursday night football remain for the first two rounds of the block before reverting back to opening rounds under Friday night lights.
St Kilda are among the major winners for the four-week period, earning two Friday night matches and one Saturday night fixture.
Last year's thrilling semi-final fixture will return to the Gabba in Round 16 as the Lions welcome the Bulldogs for Thursday night football, with Carlton and St Kilda clashing the following night at Marvel Stadium.
A 2021 preliminary final rematch will take place the next week in Round 17, with Geelong and Melbourne opening the round on Thursday, July 7 at Kardinia Park.
Round 18 will see Melbourne host Port Adelaide at TIO Traeger Park on Sunday, July 17, while the Bulldogs and Saints will clash at Marvel Stadium on the preceding Friday night.
Fremantle has earnt another Friday night match for the season following their strong run of form, with the Dockers set to face Richmond at Marvel Stadium on July 22.
