St Kilda's media team was left red-faced after keen-eyed fans spotted an awkward brand conflict in their latest social media posts.

The Saints announced New Balance as their jumper manufacturer for the 2021 season.

In a promotional video, Max King runs in front of the New Balance logo to confirm the partnership between the pair.

But fans were quick to spot King wearing shoes made by New Balances' competitors, Nike.

After many comments on the post, the Saints responded by stating many of their players have individual shoe sponsorships, which is why the famous Nike tick is visible in the clip promoting New Balance.

Either way, it seems like an ill-judged error by the Sants who could have used photos that hid individual player shoe sponsors.
