St Kilda have announced 23-year-old defender Callum Wilkie will make his AFL debut on Sunday, alongside forward and fellow mature-aged recruit Matthew Parker.

Wilkie was overlooked in the 2014 National Draft, but after an impressive stint with North Adelaide in the SANFL, has now made it onto an AFL list.

“I was just absolutely ecstatic, I can’t wait to get out there with the boys,” Wilkie told saints.com.au.

Wilkie and Parker will join Nick Hind and Dean Kent in representing the Saints for the first time, while their opponents on Sunday, Gold Coast, could have as many as eight new faces in yellow and red.

Both teams are set to be confirmed at 5pm on Friday night.
