Following last night's heart stopping elimination final between West Coast and Port Adelaide, recently retired St Kilda champion Nick Riewoldt says the league should do away with draws in the home and away season.
With scores tied at 60 a piece at full time, the sides played two pulsating five minute periods of extra-time, before Luke Shuey kicked the winning goal after the siren to send the Eagles to the semi-final against the Giants next Saturday night.
Such was the excitement of the match, Riewoldt says the AFL should introduce extra-time in the regular season.
โAfter the 2010 drawn (Grand Final) debacle, the AFL removed the draw and I think itโs time to do the same right throughout the competition through the season,โโ Riewoldt said on Channel Seven on Sunday.
โAfter last nightโs result, how exciting was that?
"To remove the draw and have extra-time played every week, I think the fans would love it.โ
Should the @AFL bring extra time in for the whole season?

The AFL Commission voted to remove the draw and introduce extra-time in the grand final in 2016, six years after Collingwood's drawn grand final with St Kilda, which then saw the Pies win the replay the following week.
There were three draws in the regular season this year, GWS drew with Hawthorn and Geelong, while Collingwood drew with Adelaide.
