St Kilda is reportedly leading the race for Greater Western Sydney young gun, Jack Steele.

Steele, 20, is out of contract at season's end and has also been linked to Carlton.

However, Sportingnews.com reports that the Saints now appear his likely destination, with the bright future of talented young list particularly appealing to Steele.

The midfielder has played 17 games for the Giants since being selected with pick No.24 in the 2014 National Draft.

He has struggled to maintain his spot in the senior side this season, playing 10 games and averaging 15.5 disposals.

The Saints are also rumoured to be in market for Essendon's Michael Hurley and Gold Coast's Jaeger O'Meara.
