Fremantle forward Chris Mayne is reportedly likely to join Collingwood in 2017.
Mayne, who is widely tipped to leave Fremantle this off-season, has been offered a four-year deal by the Magpies, according to Fairfax.
The 27-year-old free agent had been expected to join North Melbourne, however, Collingwood's offer is believed to have trumped the Kangaroos' three-year deal.
Mayne has kicked 196 goals in 172 matches with the Dockers.
Top 10 in the league for forward pressure (elite) and can go down back and shut down a forward ya dopey buggers, and sounds like we’ll be getting a little extra on top if we do that deal and get Freo the decent compensation pick.
