Carlton captain Brianna Davey has sensationally requested a trade to Collingwood, just 24 hours after winning the Blues' best-and-fairest award.

According to the Herald Sun, Davey has requested the move due to a big money offer from the Pies, despite the Blues believing she was happy with her position at the club.

Davey requested the same move 12 months ago, although she stayed around and had a strong year, leading the club to a grand final appearance.

Collingwood will need to trade for Davey, given they aren't an expansion club. The Pies have pick No. 1 in the upcoming draft, which could help them secure Davey's services.

The Pies recently sacked coach Wayne Siekman, and are currently with a head coach.

Adelaide premiership coach Bec Goddard is reportedly one of the Pies' top candidates, as well as Fox Footy analyst and former AFL coach Danny Frawley.
