Essendon defender Michael Hibberd has reportedly agreed to a four-year deal to join Melbourne.

Channel Seven’s Sam McClure has reported that Hibberd’s move to the Demons “looks deal done”, with the 26-year-old the first of the 12 current banned Bombers to leave the club.

Hibberd has played 84 career games with the Bombers since making his debut in 2011.

He averaged 22 disposals in 2015, as well as 5.5 contested possessions, 5.4 marks, 3.7 rebound 50s and 5.8 intercepts per game.

However, McClure says that Michael Hurley is still undecided on his future, with St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs showing strong interest in the 26-year-old key position player.

    • Was just thinking the same, Dea probably better over head but very similar. Mr Dea here is your contract for the next two seasons…. now lets move on and get the rest of them locked away.

  1. When it happens l believe it , and any way if he wonts to go , we’ll go , these player , blame the club , it was the people running the club at the time , and these players could of said no , but they didn’t , as far as l see this they are to blame too , don’t won’t to be at the new beginning of this club well bye bye

  2. Sad to see him leave if it happens. Not everything is about Essendons current situation. Let’s not forget that out of contract players switching clubs happens quite regularly. Whatever the outcome best of luck to him.

  3. Bullshit He’s still contracted and how can they talk to him or his management when the trade period isnt for another 2 months this sort of crap reporting can and will get ppl into trouble
