North Melbourne forward Mason Wood could be on his way out of Arden Street at the end of the season.

According to a report by AFL.com.au, the 25-year old has been raised in trade discussions by the club, who is still contracted for 2020.

However, Wood becomes a free agent next year, meaning the Kangaroos could look to get some value back over losing him for nothing.

Hampered by injuries throughout his career, Wood has booted 20 goals this season from 17 games.

The former Geelong Falcon signed a a four-year contract with North Melbourne in 2016, estimated to be worth approximately $450-$500,000 a season.
