Richmond is confident of re-signing star defender Alex Rance.
Richmond CEO Brendon Gale has told SEN Radio this morning that the club is confident that Alex “will be a Richmond player for years to come.”
“He has some things in his life he values other than footy and we respect that so we are letting him work through those things in his own time,” Gale said.
“But that is coming to a head now. We need to plan for the future and build our list accordingly.
“Without going too far into it, I am very confident Alex will be a Richmond player.”
It is understood that Rance’s Jehovahs Witness faith and his desire to travel are key reasons why he may decide to walk away from the game.
