Last standing 2006 West Coast premiership player, Sam Butler has re-signed with the Eagles.
The 29-year-old was taken with the 20th selection in the 2003 National Draft and has played 135 since making his debut, but he admits it is a strange feeling being the last premiership player left at the club.
“It feels very weird. I never thought it would come down to that,” Butler said.
“It definitely doesn’t feel right. I’d love to have a few of those guys with me to lean on, the main one being Beau Waters.
“He’d still be playing if his shoulder could bear the brunt of it.”
