Premiership Eagles Shannon Hurn and Josh Kennedy have signed one-year contract extensions with the club.

Due to come out of contract at the end of this season, the duo have now officially recommitted until the end of 2020.

Hurn, 31, has captained the club for the last four seasons and is due to play his 250th game in round two against GWS.

“It’s nice to get it locked away so I can focus on the season,” the premiership skipper told the club website.

“With the JLT series starting on Friday, things start to build towards the start of the season and that’s our sole focus.”

Kennedy, 31, is also a part of the leadership group and has booted the most goals for West Coast in the club's history (551).

“It’s good to get it sorted early along with Bunga,” the two-time Coleman medallist told the club website.

“I’d like to thank West Coast for another opportunity and I’m really excited about another year with this fantastic club and group of lads.”

Kennedy will notch the 200-game milestone in round one against Brisbane.
