Port Adelaide is hopeful Paddy Ryder can return to the side in time for its round 11 clash with Geelong.

Ryder will be out again this week due to an Achilles injury he suffered in round eight against Richmond.

Coach Ken Hinkley said that he hoped the injury would only keep the former Bomber out of the side for a few weeks.

“Initially we thought Paddy was two, maybe three weeks, but we’re hopeful it’s only two,” Hinkley said.

“The doctors are pretty confident that he’ll be right for the next game.”

Ryder has struggled to find form this season with the Power, after being one of the headline acquisitions of the off-season.
