Port Adelaide midfielder Hamish Hartlett has been ruled out for the next three to four weeks due to a calf strain.

The 25-year-old was a late withdrawal from the Power's win over Brisbane on the weekend after experiencing tightness during the warm up.

Scans later revealed a grade one to two tear, however, Port's high performance manager, Darren Burgess said the club is hopeful Hartlett will return before the end of the season.

“Hammer will be pushing for the Showdown (Round 22), but I think he’s probably more likely to be a Round 23 chance,” Burgess told the club's website.

“That said, if he’s clear to return he’ll be available for selection.”
