North Melbourne has announced that the club will hold a tribute for AFL games record holder, Brent Harvey, prior to the Roos' clash with St Kilda in Round 13.

The tribute will involve a lap of honour, the unfurling of Harvey's jumper from the rafters of Etihad Stadium, several speeches and a ceremony retiring his guernsey number, No.29, indefinitely.

Harvey broke Hawthorn legend, Michael Tuck's league record of 426 games against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium last season.

The former Roos' skipper played a total of 432 games for the club . He made his debut in Round 22, 1996 against Richmond, before retiring at the end of last season.

His honour role includes a premiership in 1999, five club best and fairest awards and he is a member of the North Melbourne Team of the Century.
