Five charges have been laid and three players have been suspended following Round 8.

Melbourne’s Neville Jetta has been hit with a one-game ban for striking Bulldog Marcus Bontempelli.

Former Bulldogs captain Matthew Boyd has been suspended for one week for striking Thomas Bugg.

Bulldog Jack Redpath can accept a one game ban for kneeing Melbourne’s Ben Kennedy.

Hawthorn’s Taylor Duryea can accept a $1000 sanction for striking Hayden Ballantyne and Demon Cam Pedersen has been fined $1,500 for engaging in rough conduct against Fletcher Roberts.

Meanwhile, Melbourne’s Bernie Vince had his match day report for his bump on Mitch Wallis thrown out.

  1. Ballantyne should have gotten time for deliberatly putting pressure on the back of Dureya’s neck. Filthy scum tactic and frankly very risky to put pressure with fingers/hand on the neck area. Dureya was self defence…shouldn’t even get a fine.
