The Match Review Panel has laid four charges following the completion of round 11.
North Melbourne’s Michael Firrito was lucky to avoid suspension, after being charged with striking Sydney’s Lance Franklin.
Firrito can accept a $1,500 fine with an early plea, after the contact was deemed as careless with low impact to the head.
West Coast’s Xavier Ellis was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Essendon’s Joe Daniher and was fined $1,000.
Fremantle veteran Matthew Pavlich was also fined $1,000, for striking Gold Coast’s Trent McKenzie. The impact was deemed as intentional, but low impact.
Finally, Sydney’s Kieran Jack was fined $1,000 for a first offence for careless contact with an umpire (Jacob Mollison) during the third quarter on Saturday night.
All other matters were cleared.
