Port Adelaide’s Zak Butters has been handed a two-game ban for a head-high hit on Jy Simpkin, which forced the North Melbourne midfielder to miss the rest of the game last night.

Match Review Officer Michael Christian deemed the incident to be careless conduct, high contact and high impact, resulting in the two-game suspension.

If he accepts the suspension, Butters will miss Port Adelaide’s final two games against Essendon and Collingwood.
