Richmond has confirmed that defender Steven Morris will miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury.

Morris suffered the injury early during the Tigers' loss to the Kangaroos on Friday night.

"The injury is disappointing for Steve, he’s a tough competitor and been playing great football this season," Richmond general manager of football Dan Richardson said.

"It’s never easy to see a player go down with a long-term injury, but Steve is a resilient person and we’ll support him throughout the rehab process."

The Tigers also confirmed that Ben Griffiths has a lateral ligament sprain in his right ankle.

Richmond will assess the injury over the course of the week.
