Melbourne defender and unrestricted free agent Neville Jetta has rejected increasing interest from rival clubs and re-signed with the Demons for the next two seasons.

Jetta, who was due to fall out of contract at the end of this season, has committed to Melbourne until the end of the 2018 season.

The 26-year-old is one of Melbourne’s most improved players, bouncing back strongly after being delisted, then re-drafted as a rookie, at the end of 2013.

Jetta has become one of the Demons’ most reliable defenders over the past few years and is averaging a career-high 14.3 disposals per game in 2016.
