The MRP has laid eight charges from round 20, with Alex Silvagni and Chris Masten both being referred directly to the tribunal.

Silvagni has been charged with striking West Coast’s Jamie Cripps after his off the ball hit in Sunday’s Western Derby. He has been sent directly to the tribunal and cannot accept an early plea.

Masten has been charged with misconduct for biting opponent Nick Suban, also in Sunday’s Wetsern Derby. He cannot accept an early plea and the incident has been referred directly to the tribunal.

Collingwood’s Nathan Brown has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Sydney’s Luke Parker and can accept a one game suspension with early guilty plea. The incident was assessed as careless and medium impact to the head.

North Melbourne’s Jack Ziebell has also been handed a one game ban for striking St Kilda’s Jack Newnes during the second quarter of the Roos’ win over the Saints.

Justin Westoff can accept a $1000 fine for engaging in rough conduct with Jeremy Cameron.

Jackson Trengove can accept a $1000 sanction after he was charged with misconduct against Rory Lobb of the GWS Giants.

Brisbane’s Luke McGuane has been charged with engaging in rough conduct with Carlton’s Kade Simpson and has been fined $1000.

Richmond’s Brett Deledio has also been slapped with a $1000 sanction for striking Gold Coast’s Aaron Hall.
