Both Collingwood and Adelaide were forced into utilising their medical subs in Saturday's clash at the MCG, with Magpies tall Nathan Kreuger and Crows captain Rory Sloane having their day brought to an abrupt end due to injury.

In what was Kreuger's club debut in the black and white, the Collingwood recruit was subbed out of the match after sustaining a shoulder injury.

The ex-Cat was replaced by fellow key-position Magpie Darcy Cameron, with Kreuger's day coming to an end after recording two goals and five possessions.

Adelaide rookie Jake Soligo was brought into the match in place of Sloane, who had his right thigh put on ice in the final term of the match.

“Early in the game, Rory kicked around his body in a contest and aggravated his adductor," Crows high performance manager Darren Burgess said post-match.

"He was experiencing soreness and it was inhibiting his ability to move and perform to his usual standard.

"We decided to take him out of the game and he’ll be assessed in coming days.”

Sloane was among the Crows' leading ball-winners prior to his setback, having amassed 22 disposals, 13 contested possessions and six clearances.

The Magpies were runaway winners in the match, winning 15.10.100 to 8.10.58 to make it two victories in as many games.
