Brisbane CEO Greg Swann says the club remains open to trading the No.1 pick in this year's National Draft, should the right offer present itself.

Swann said the Lions have not yet been approached by a rival club about a possible trade for the No.1 selection, however, they would consider sliding down the draft order if they were to receive a considerable offer.

"Last year we had pick No.2 and went to pick No.3 and got another draft pick in the first round (No.16)," Swann said of the Suns' 2016 trade with Greater Western Sydney.

"For us, it's never say never. It would have to be something exceptional for us to move and nobody has come to us.

"We are very happy to keep pick one, but if a really good deal came along you'd have to look at it."

There is currently no out and out favourite for the No.1 pick, with Cameron Rayner, Paddy Dow, Luke Davies-Uniacke and Adam Cerra all in the mix at being recruited with the first selection.

Meanwhile, Swann said he expects onballer and former captain Tom Rockliff, to inform the club of his intentions later this week.

“My understanding is that Tom said to ‘Fages’ that he’d explore his options and they (Rockliff’s management) told us last week that they are meeting with the Power and Carlton,” Swann said.

“We’ve had an offer on the take for a while so we probably expect to hear something later this week.”
