Following a quiet Thursday of this year's trade period, day five wasn't a heap busier in terms of done deals, with just one trade agreement lodged on what was also the final day of the free agency signing window.
As usual, however, the day did throw up numerous movement rumblings, including a veteran's bombshell trade request out of Brisbane and back to his former club.

Brisbane Lions veteran Jack Gunston has requested a shock trade out of Brisbane and back to his former club, Hawthorn.
Gunston missed the entirety of Brisbane's 2023 finals run after suffering an injury in Round 22 against the Adelaide Crows.

Melbourne has reportedly offered the Adelaide Crows a future second-round pick in exchange for wantaway forward Shane McAdam.

North Melbourne reportedly wanted to avoid diluting its Ben McKay compensation by signing Richmond free agent Bigoa Nyuon -- instead electing against a deal for the Tiger.
