Justin Leppitsch will present to the Brisbane Lions board next Tuesday in a pitch that could seal his future.
The embattled coach, who is widely believed will be sacked at season’s end, will speak at the scheduled monthly meeting.
Under normal circumstances the senior coach would present to the board at the end of season on the pros and cons of the year, list analysis and projections for the season to follow.
Leppitsch declined to comment on the nature of his presentation when contacted by AFL.com.au.
Despite having a year to run on his contract, the 3-17 record has heaped a mountain of pressure on the triple premiership player’s tenure.
Chairman Bob Sharpless confirmed earlier this month Leppitsch’s position would be reviewed, and deputy chairman and club legend Leigh Matthews has made it clear his loyalty lies with the club rather than Leppitsch.
