Gold Coast’s David Swallow will miss the rest of the season after aggravating the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday.
The injury kept him out for eight weeks earlier in the year, before he returned to the side two weeks ago for the Suns’ win over Kangaroos.
Gold Coast general manager of football operations Marcus Ashcroft said that specialists would assess the injury in the coming days to determine the best treatment.
“David aggravated his PCL during Saturday’s game and as a result he will miss the remainder of the season,” Ashcroft said.
“Our medical staff, David and specialists will discuss the options available to him in the coming days before determining the most appropriate way to rehabilitate the injury.”
