Kane Cornes has fired back at Collingwood supporters and Eddie McGuire after the Magpies' humiliating performance last night.

Fresh off one of their greatest wins in recent history against West Coast last week, the Magpies were eliminated from the finals last night courtesy of a 68-point loss to Geelong.

Collingwood fans were quick to remind Cornes that they weren't "making up the numbers" after their one-point win over West Coast but the noise from the black and white faithful was much quieter after last night's game.

“I think they were feeling very confident going into that game, no doubt about it with the commentary that they were going to do a lot of damage going forward,” Cornes said today on the Sunday Footy Show.

“I did have a look at Eddie last night. You don’t need the scoreboard, all you need is Eddie’s face and that tells you the score. He was up and about last week, he was sending TJ (Tony Jones) and myself messages all through the week.

“Nothing from Eddie. Not one thing, not one message, not one tweet, nothing from these Collingwood clowns!”
