GWS co-captain Callan Ward has left the field with what looked to be a serious knee injury during the Giants’ clash with Geelong on Saturday afternoon.
Ward sustained the injury inside the game’s opening minutes, and needed to be helped off the field.
Giants GM of Football Wayne Campbell spoke to Fox Footy at the quarter time break, and said the early signs aren’t great for Ward.
WC on Callan Ward: (It's) not great. It looks like his left knee.
We’ve got to do the(ACL) test, but it doesn’t look good.
At this stage for Cal, not a good early diagnosis.
