Carlton’s Dale Thomas will reportedly not be offered a new contract by the Blues, according to Triple M’s Tom Browne.
Thomas has been a Blue since crossing over from Collingwood at the end of the 2013 season, and is on track to statistically have his second-best season with Carlton, following his impressive 2018 campaign.
“Dale Thomas has had a celebrated career and in red hot form lately, Daisy’s had a fantastic year for Carlton,” Browne told Triple M on Wednesday morning.
“But the jungle drums are beating quite strongly this morning across my phone that he’ll have meetings today, and I don’t think at this stage Carlton will continue with him next year which is a difficult situation.
“I expect that situation to develop over the next 48 hours or so.”
The 32-year-old has played 18 games for Carlton this season, and averages 19.6 disposals, 4.4 rebound 50s, 5.4 marks and 2.8 tackles per game.
