Carlton teenager Jack Silvagni has agreed to extend his contract until the end of 2018.
Silvagni, who doesn’t turn 19 until December 17, played eight games in his debut year after being taken by the Blues as a father/son selection with Pick 53 in last year’s draft. He played mainly forward, averaging 10 possessions and kicking 7 goals.
“Since arriving at the Blues, Jack has worked incredibly hard on the training track, his determination to improve as a player has been second to none,” Carlton’s head of football in Andrew McKay said.
“He earned his spot in the senior side this year after consistent performances in the VFL, so we’re pleased with his progress. Jack knows he has a long way to go, but every time he pulls on the guernsey you know he is going to give his all.”
