Hawthorn defender James Sicily has been charged by the Match Review Officier Michael Christian for striking North Melbourne’s Mason Wood during the third quarter of their clash on Friday night.

The Hawk has been handed a $3000 sanction with an early plea, after the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact and high contact.
