Hawks re-sign young defender Teia Miles

Hawthorn has re-signed emerging defender Teia Miles.

The 19-year-old, now in his second year at the club, has put to pen to paper on a two-year deal which will see him remain a Hawk until at least the end of 2018.

“I was really excited when I found out,” Miles told

“I can’t wait to see what’s to come in the next two years.”

The yet-to-debut Hawk has been one of Box Hill’s most consistent performers in 2016, switching between attack and defence in his 14 games, kicking 16 goals.

“I’ve been really happy with my year so far,” Miles said.

“I think I’ve been consistent for most of the year and I’m hoping I can break into the AFL team one day either this year or over the next couple of years.
