Collingwood defender Lynden Dunn's season appears to be over, amid growing fears that the veteran reportedly suffered an ACL injury on the weekend.

The 31-year old injured his knee during the third quarter of his side' 39-point win over the Suns at Metricon Stadium and did not return.

And by all reports, the ex-Demon is set for season-ending knee surgery, but is awaiting further scans today.

It would be a sickening blow for the second-placed Pies, who have been plagued with injuries this season. Dunn was enjoying a career-best year in the black and white, averaging 12.8 disposals and 4.1 marks in 14 games while shutting down the opposition's best forward each week.
