Draft time often leaves AFL fans searching for omens or wanting to snap unwanted trends of the past.

Picks: 16, 48, 55, 64, 73, 75

Some club icons were recruited to the Crows with their range of selections, with none better than Adelaide's all-time leading goalkicker in Taylor Walker, at Pick 75. That selection also netted them Ken McGregor and Ben Davis. Pick 16 secured the likes of Brett Burton, Richard Douglas and Ned McHenry over the years, while David Mackay is one of five players to be drafted by the Crows at Pick 48.
