Esssedon coach James Hird has declared himself fit to coach this weekend after his bicycle accident.

Hird said he has completely recovered after he was concussed when he fell off his bike on Monday night.

“I feel good, I feel ready to go, not that you need to be that good to coach, but I am ready to coach tomorrow night,” Hird said after Essendon’s training session at Tullamarine this morning.

“It (the role) will be exactly as normal and hopefully it will be a winning one.

“It was an unfortunate incident. It was a bit scary at the time, but it is time to move on and to move on with footy.”
