There has been a lot of talk about poor old Nunawading Lions lately, after they were thumped 63.26 (404) to 0.0 (0) by Ferntree Gully on the weekend, but we’ve found what appears to be the highest local footy score ever recorded in a senior game of Aussie rules.

Campbells Creek defeated Primrose 100.34 (634) to 3.0 (18) in the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League in central Victoria back in 1990. Now that is some accurate goalkicking!

For the record, Maryborough Rovers won the premiership in 1990 and unsurprisingly, Primrose is no longer in the competition.
