Hawthorn have sent a warning to the rest of the competition that star forward Jack Gunston will be in the brown and gold come 2021, per The Herald Sun.

Gunston won the Hawks best and fairest in 2020 and soon found himself on the radar of several rival clubs, namely Collingwood.

While Hawthorn looked to expose their youth to the senior side this year, they remain confident of bouncing back into the premiership window.

In doing so, they have remained adamant Gunston will be a Hawk next season as the club are not interested in hearing offers from their competitors.

The forward booted 31 goals from 16 games in 2020.

Hawthorn are set to sign free agent Kyle Hartigan from Adelaide after the retirements of key defenders Ben Stratton and James Frawley.
