Hawthorn veterans Jordan Lewis and Grant Birchall appear on track to face arch-rivals Geelong in round one after taking part in an intraclub hit-out at Waverley on Monday.

Billy Hartung (knee), Taylor Duryea (hip) and Luke Breust (jaw) also eased injury concerns by featuring in the Hawks’ match simulation a week out from their Easter Monday blockbuster.

Lewis and Birchall weren’t risked in the final NAB Challenge clash against North Melbourne, however the four-time premiership players have seemingly shrugged-off their injury concerns in time to renew hostilities with the Cats.
