GWS co-captain Phil Davis will miss this week's clash with the Suns due to a hamstring strain.

Davis sustained the injury during the final quarter of the Giants' 18-point win over Fremantle on the weekend.

The 25-year-old is expected to miss the next 2-3 weeks.

Meanwhile, small forward Devon Smith will miss the next 8-10 weeks with a knee injury.

Smith had surgery on Tuesday to tidy up cartilage in his knee, that has resulted in the youngster managing just four games this season.
