Hawthorn star Jack Gunston has revealed what the club will miss most about losing veterans Sam Mitchell and Jordan Lewis.

While their leadership will certainly be missed, Gunston said the pair's elite sledging will also be missed by the side.

“Mitchell and Lewis are the king of sledges,” Gunston said on EON Sports Radio on Tuesday morning.

“They’re pretty good on the lip the both of them, so it’s going to be a very fun game [against them] and we’ll have to come up with something when we do line up against them.”

Mitchell signed a one-year deal with West Coast during the recent trade period, while Jordan Lewis joined Melbourne on a three-year deal.
