The premiership cup presenters for this year's AFL Grand Final have been revealed, with respective club legends Cameron Ling and Paul Kelly given the role should their teams run out winners on Saturday afternoon.

Kelly played 234 games for the Swans across his stellar career from 1990-2002, winning the Brownlow Medal in 1995.

A former captain and four time club best and fairest, Kelly also presented the cup after Sydney's grand final win in 2005, set to have the honour for a second time should the Swans win on Saturday afternoon.

Should the Cats claim the win, premiership captain Ling will present the cup to Chris Scott and Joel Selwood. Ling played 246 games for Geelong across his illustrious career, winning three premierships with the club.

Speaking to club media in the wake of the announcement, Ling said it was an "incredible honour" to be given the gig.

“As a lifelong Cats supporter, the opportunity to present the Premiership Cup on Grand Final day in 2022, if the Cats win, is an incredible honour and something I would never have even dreamed of being possible as a kid," Ling said.

“I couldn’t think of anything more special than handing over the Cup to Scotty and Joel, two people who I respect so much and have great relationships with.

“It will be pretty special to watch the game with my wife and three boys and hopefully share the magical experience of a Cats premiership through their eyes.”

The 2022 AFL grand final will be held on Saturday, September 24, slated to begin at 2:30pm AEST.
