Young Gold Coast defender Sean Lemmens has signed a deal that will tie him to the Suns until at least the end of 2018.

Lemmens’ two-year extension mirrors that of fellow defender Adam Saad, who inked his contract earlier this week.

After playing 36 games in his first two seasons, Lemmens is one of just six Suns to play all 10 matches this season and is seen as a key pillar of their young defensive unit.

“It is no secret to anyone that knows me that the Gold Coast has become my home away from home, so to continue to live out my AFL career in Queensland is an opportunity I don’t take for granted,” Lemmens said.
