Greater Western Sydney has signed former Commonwealth Games decathlete Jake Stein.

The Giants have signed Stein for the 2017 season as a category B rookie, after he has spent the past six months trialing with the club.

The 22-year-old, who hails from Penrith in Western Sydney, represented Australian in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

โ€œItโ€™s fantastic to be part of this club and Iโ€™m looking forward to whatโ€™s to come,โ€ Stein said.ย

โ€œAthletics is a bit of a lonely sport at times compared to footy where you have 40 guys on the list so I canโ€™t wait to be back in that team culture.
