Geelong will be without speedy small forward Lincoln McCarthy again this week after he strained his hip flexor at training on Saturday.

McCarthy, who missed the game against Adelaide with a rolled ankle, was doing some goalkicking when he suffered the injury.

Cats’ physiotherapist Mark Young told the club website the 22-year-old will not be out for an extended period.

“It’s a low-grade strain. We don’t think it will take him long,” Young said.

  1. Just need Dangerfield, Selwood, Bartel, Taylor, Hawkins, Mackie, Guthrie, Bews and Smith to have training mishaps and the Pies might get close…
