The Cats have surpassed the 80,000 membership mark for the first time in their history, following the club's 2022 premiership triumph.
The unprecedented milestone saw 17,000 sign up as Geelong club members for the first time ever this season, an increase of 5,000 from the previous season.
The impressive achievement coincides with the near-completed GMHBA Stadium project, which will see the arena increase in capacity to 40,000 after the Victorian Government committed $142 million to the development.
Addressing Friday's proud announcement, Geelong CEO Steve Hocking expressed his gratitude to the club's members, old and new.
"Reaching the milestone of 80,000 members is an incredible achievement for our club. We extend our appreciation to every member who has demonstrated unwavering support over the years," Hocking said in Friday's club statement.
"The Cats have always been more than just a football club, we are a close-knit community, and this milestone highlights both the strength of the Geelong community and the support we receive from both across Victoria and around the country.
"On behalf of the board, administration, football department, and players we thank all members for their commitment in 2023, which is an encouraging step towards the club's journey towards the target of 100,000 members by 2025."
The Cats host the Bombers at GMHBA Stadium this Saturday night.
