Geelong president Colin Carter is set to step down from his role after a decade in charge at Kardinia Park, with Cats director Craig Drummond set to take on the role from 2021, per AFL.com's Damian Barrett.

Carter was the successor to renowned Cats president Frank Costa and has been a vital asset to the club's prolonged successes since 2010.

Geelong have missed out on a top eight finish just once under Carter's reign and have managed to break several membership records across the past decade.

Drummond, a well known Melbourne businessman, is a life-long Geelong fan and current CEO of Medibank Private.
