Brownlow Medalist Nat Fyfe will reportedly miss the next two months of pre-season training.

Channel Seven has reported that Fyfe ruptured a disc in a training drill before the Dockers' Christmas break.

He has reportedly avoided surgery, which would have ruled him out for six months, but has still suffered a serious set back in his pre-season.

He is expected to be fit for the beginning of the home and away season.
