Five Lions headline the seventh edition of the AFL's 22under22 squad to vindicate the bright future at the club.

That includes Harris Andrews, Alex Witherden, Jarrod Berry, Hugh McCluggage and Eric Hipwood.

Essendon's Andrew McGrath, Melbourne's Clayton Oliver and Sydney's Callum Mills were also named in the squad and are set to be named in the side for a third consecutive year.

The Blues also boasted five members, including Jacob Weitering, Sam Petrevski-Seton, Zac Fisher, Sam Walsh and Harry McKay.

The Western Bulldogs also feature prominently with four players, including Josh Dunkley, Bailey Smith, Aaron Naughton and Tim English.

Collingwood are the only club without a representative, with young gun Jaidyn Stephenson not included likely due to his betting ban.

To be eligible, players must be aged 22 years and under over the entirety of the season, including the finals series.

Fans can vote on the 22under22 side here, with voting closing on Wednesday August 21.

The side will be unveiled at the AFLPA MVP awards on Thursday August 29.
